Welcome
to Kodiak Soil & Water Conservation District's Web Site
The mission of Conservation Districts throughout the US remains
basically the same; Coordinate and implement programs for the
conservation, preservation, use, and development of soil, water, and related
resources.

At Kodiak SWCD, most of our recent activities have focused
on: noxious and invasive plant education, control and eradication; ATV
trail hardening; wetlands protection; the prevention of non-point
source pollution; forest and rangeland management; recreation, Education
in the form of our Future Farmers of America Chapter and our Envirothon
Teams; and community
development.
District activities and interaction with private
landowners are voluntary in nature, not regulatory.
